Just one of my all time favorite songs by an awesome band. Now is a great time to be thankful for all that you have and blessed by what you have coming. Enjoy!
I love this song! It's about how everything changes inside us when Christ comes in, but our natural fleshly tendencies fight against what is good. BUT, it also seems to fit well in a story (or four) about people who think they are people and then are told supernaturally that they aren't and will soon be going to war. Hmm. I think I know a series about that.
Everything's about to change...
PS- The song totally rocks beside the meaning too.
PPS- I chose it for today because TFK is going to be in Lancaster this weekend and I am really thinking about going to see them again.
What does love mean to me? Love is what you do, not necessarily how you feel. It's not what you do out of obligation, but what you do because you have committed to do it. (There is a difference.) Love is what you have decided, not what happens. None of this sounds very romantic, but it is what works. True love lasts, not because we allow it to, but because we are determined to make it work. And THAT, if you ask me -- the idea of someone fighting for me under any circumstance -- is terribly romantic.
Other than U2 being such a great group, I am posting this song for one reason, for one lyric:
"If you want to kiss the sky, better learn how to kneel.
On your knees, boy."
There is only one way to heaven.
This is a song I have always really liked, but I can also see it playing during the final scene of the first four Angelmen books. As you may or may not know, the first four books -- Amity, Asher, Caedmon, and Malachi -- all end with the same scene, the characters meeting one another and assembling for the Battle. However, each time I present this last chapter, it is seen from a different character's perspective. So each time you read it, you will pick up something new. All of the characters have had unusual dreams on their way to the meeting place -- and some they aren't even sure are dreams! -- but when they meet one another, they are finally convinced of who they are and what their mission is. They have come awake and are alive in their new identities.
P.S. - This song is awesome done live as well!
